Reefs, Cays,& Blue Holes

There's so many beautiful spots to see, right off the beach from your vacation rental!

We have wonderful habitat for enjoying the coral reefs and tropical fish which are located in front of Abaco Beachfront Rentals. The GPS coordinates noted below and map of the cays will help you locate your tropical adventure. Due to the water depth, it is best to snorkel at a higher tide.

ALWAYS REMEMBER...the coral can be close to the surface.
NEVER hit the coral with the boat or touch the coral!

Be careful not to float over the coral and touch the coral...you may get scratched as well! The coral is very delicate and we hope everyone will help in maintaining our wonderful reef areas. You will need to anchor out on sand bottom, outside of the coral reef. If you go out to the reefs or cays, you must go with a buddy and be aware of changing tides and weather.

Reefs

  1. Usually a calm reef: Lat: 26.27751 N; Long: 077.10751 W

  2. If you have not snorkeled much, this reef is a good reef to check out: Lat. 26.27832 N; Long: 077.10607 W

  3. This reef is located to the right of the little island (100 +/- yds.): Lat. 26.27894 N; Long: 077.10073 W

  4. This is a big reef located past and to the left of the small island. This reef is shallow, use caution as you observe the reef! Lat: 26.27525 N; Long: 077.09487 W

Blue Holes

The Blue Holes are located around the point on the end of Casuarina Point in the Cherokee Sound area.

  1. Lat: 26.29381 N; Long: 077.07265 W

  2. Lat: 26.29945 N; Long: 077.07653 W
